Food - Everything is made fresh to order, and you can really taste the difference. I'm not from the area, but a local recommended this spot, and I'm so glad they did! I love breakfast burritos, so I asked if they could whip one up even though they usually do breakfast tacos. They were happy to make it for me! The tortillas are unbelievably good and freshly made. I can't remember the exact name of the filling, but it reminded me of a chilaquiles breakfast taco. So delicious! The beans were also super tasty. PROS: Amazing, fresh food. Their salsa is fire!! CONS: It's not in the best neighborhood, and they didn't have any agua fresca, which was a bit disappointing.
The food here was great! The service was the best I've ever had. The workers were so nice and always had a smile, and they even helped me with my stuff!
Stopped here to grab breakfast one day while in the area, and now have recommended this place to everyone! The service was great, and the food was amazing!!! I loved that is was a very small "mom and pop" shop, which typically ALWAYS means the food will be amazing! I love me some bean and cheese tacos, and am very picky when it comes to beans haha, but this place had THE BEST bean & cheese tacos I've ever had in San Antonio!!
Great breakfast! This place is down the street from my kids school. Every morning he gets the same bacon and egg tacos with a lemonade and loves it. I usually get either chilaquiles or Machado tacos when I eat there. Even though I would love to eat there every day because they are so good. My waist line says different. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes good Mexican food get there early because they close early.
Doesn't look like much from the outside but the food was SO good! I had the Picadillo plate and my husband had the Fideo Loco. We're both members of the clean plate club & will go back if we're in the neighborhood!
First time I went was just to pick up tacos to go and they were great. Decided today to sit and have lunch. Friendly staff. Quick service and the food and tea were excellent. The fideo as a choice instead of rice was delicious. I was sitting solo but still got chips and salsa. I'll be back.
If you are downtown and want authentic Mexican food, I definitely recommend this place. Breakfast fast tacos are great. And the gordita plate. I have had twice, i May have to order a third time just to make sure it's my favorite
If you remember in my last review I wrote about the service and how slow it was but now my views have changed after coming back and giving it a try. I came with family and Maria was the best waitress. Her family owns this place and we have developed a great friendship with them this year. The food is still great at amazing price. Huge portions of food as well as awesome coffee. Will keep on returning!
